Hey everyone, Last minute show update! We are playing tomorrow night over at Chatham University’s Julia and James Rea House, address 1 Woodland Road Pittsburgh, PA 15232. We will be on around 9 o’clock for about an hour, AND we will be filming this one as the first of many videographic recordings that we will be throwing here on the interwebs. There is parking behind the Marjory Rea Laughlin House right by there. Admission is free, the food is free, and the music is new!!! Additionally we will be selling our EPs, selling our t-shirts, and throwing out our stickers. So be there, as it is going to be a sick show!
We’ve been slacking a bit in keeping all of you updated these past couple weeks, so here’s whats been going on. We played a show in December, airing a new tune to the brave few who ventured out in an ice storm. The tune was well received, as well as the performance of our new bassist Mr. Jake Rieger! That being said, we have been working hard over at the Stretch household piecing together new songs as well as reworking some old ones. Again, we are embarking on the recording process, though this time we are doing it from Electric Davey Land Studios with some new gear and a lot more experience with recording software. There will be more updates to come of that.
We’ve been asked a lot about live footage of the group, both by you our fans and industry professionals who want to see us before they book us. Starting at our next show, we will begin filming and recording our sets and editing the videos to go up on youtube and all of our other pages. If anyone is interested in helping us out with filming, please inbox us about it and we will get back to you.
On the live shows front, we are booked for this year’s Shalerpalooza Concert at Mr. Smalls on March 14th, tickets will be $8 from us. It’s going to be a packed show, with all sorts of craziness on our end, so we encourage everyone to come out for a good cause. We are also working on performing at 105.9 The X’s Winter Rock Showcase. There will be a preliminary voting period starting next week (January 7th) that will have our song Confined on the X’s website (don’t worry we will be posting links) for you all to vote for. After a week of voting, 15 bands will be selected to compete in the Semi-Finals at the Hard Rock Cafe. We need your support to get there, so please vote and tell your friends to vote!
Last little bit of this update, we are looking for a manager. It’s been a lot of hard working getting this far on our end and with the increasing demands of writing, practicing, performing, and doing all other things related to this group, all four of us need a 5th hand to help book and manage the group. This is a very important job, if you are interested or know anyone that could help out, please inbox us and it will be most appreciated!
Thank you all for the continued support, and happy New Year!
We’d like to extend an apology to anyone who wanted to come out and see us last night seeing as our set was cancelled. Long story short, the lady that we booked the show through was not part of the Booking agency that goes through the Thunderbird and had no place in offering us an opening slot for the show. Upon arrival we were informed that no one knew that we were playing the show and that there wasn’t room for us on the bill. So again, we are sorry and just as disappointed as you. Luckily, our shows in November are legit, so we will see you at those!
We have some exciting news that we will be releasing as the week goes on, so please, stay tuned!
Hey folks! Here to announce some new shows and update you on some ones that are coming up.
This Saturday evening we will be playing at Thunderbird Cafe with Wild Child, the show starts at 8 and tickets at the door are $5.
On November 16th, we are at Diesel playing in front of Island Def Jam, the record label. The doors are at 4 and tickets are $20 and can be purchased from us or here at this link:
And our BIG announcement is that we are opening for Trapt on November 13th, at the Altar Bar! Tickets for this one are $17 and you can get them from us!
Hope to see you there!
A huge shout out to our friend Matt Sabbath for filling in on bass at our last show! The show, for those of you who couldn’t make it, was a huge success and has opened the door for us to play at some other colleges! More info to come!
As many of you know, last nights performance at Diesel was in front of a representative from Atlantic Records. Concluding our set we were approached by this representative and were then informed of her interest in the group, we gave her our press kit and she said that she will be in touch in the next couple weeks after reviewing the material about what the best way to proceed as a band will be! We are all excited to take our music to the next level and are seizing this great opportunity that has been given to us!
